Vice President

Dr. Willens is a 1959 graduate of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine.  His undergraduate studies were at the Detroit Institute of Technology, now part of Wayne State University, where he received a BS in Pharmacy in 1955.

After graduating from OCPM, he moved his family to Hollywood, Florida.  He practiced there from 1959 until his retirement from active patient care, and took on the duties of managing the multi-doctor practice with his partner Barney Greenberg DPM.

During his entire practice life, Dr. Willens was constantly an activist both politically and practicewise.  He was very active in the Florida Podiatric Medical Association from his first days in practice and became president of that organization in 1974.  He continued these activities not only in Florida but around the country.  He was elected to the APMA Board of Trustees in 1987 and in 1996 was elected president of the APMA.

Dr. Willens has received many honors over his years of practice, including an honorary Doctor of Letters Degree from his alma mater in 1997.  In 2007 he was awarded the Distinguished Service Citation from the American Podiatric Medical Association.

When he first used the CryoProbeTM, he felt that this instrument had an amazing future in Podiatric Medicine.  "Working with Bob Altman has been a rewarding experience.  His scientific insight and his love for people makes this an easy partnership.  It is an exciting time for Cryosurgical Concepts because where ever the unit is demonstrated we get a very enthusiatic response.
We have been marketing to podiatry, medicine, osteopathy and naturopathy, and all disciplines are equally enthusiastic."
